Deacon's

The deacons and stewards of House of God recognize that our primary role and function in the church is to serve the clergy and the people of God. We do so in many ways, but our focus is to, as much as possible, fill any voids, whether spiritual, business, etc. We strive to keep the domestic and routine worries off the shoulders of the pastor and ministry, freeing them to prepare and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our goal is to be effective, while remaining enthusiastic to serve. We maintain a strong moral and ethical character because we have to interface with believers and non-believers daily, and many are drawn to Christ through our persistence, resilience, and devotion to God and His commandments.

Mother's Board

The Mother's Board is a sisterhood of women committed to empowering all women through the knowledge of their value in the eyes of God, their essential place in the world as a whole, especially in the body of Christ.

Through fostering relationships and mentoring we hope to teach young women self-respect, self-actualization, self value, and the power of love in every form. We seek to strengthen the bonds of families, relationships, and society at large by investing in all women, an integral pillar of any culture.

Through the healing power of the love of Christ, and the authority endowed by the word of God, we seek to bolster women to live life as a beacon, believers empowered for every walk of life.

We seek to exemplify the balance of walking humbly in the fear of God, yet with poise, grace, character, and dignity befitting one who is more valuable than precious jewels, (Proverbs 30). We realize and believe that all things are possible through Christ, who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13).

International Missions

Our Mission is to Expose, Enlighten and Empower all People with the Gospel of Christ, while Embracing our Global Community with the Love of God.

Evangelistic Union

The Evangelistic Department of the House of God is a group excited about sharing our faith, and leading others to Jesus Christ.

We understand that the world today can be a cold and unforgiving place. However, we recognize that the only way to find serenity in this world is Jesus. While He walked this earth, Jesus cautioned His followers that times like this would come. Yet, He also informed them that the Bible and it's message were perfected in Him. His message was one of forgiveness, healing, and peace, and this was accomplished with His loving sacrifice.

Finally, He also charged his followers, telling them that if they loved Him, they would spread the word, and tell others about Him. We seek to fulfill this great commission, and tell others about Jesus.

God gave His only son for us, and paid the price for us to have peace and eternal life, and our mission is to share this message of joy.

National Usher Board

Hello, welcome, and thank you for visiting the Usher page of House of God website. The usher department is built upon a foundation of service and hospitality: to warmly greet every member and visitor with a smile; assist and help coordinate worship services to make them pleasant, and enjoyable; all in a manner that is pleasing to God.

The goals of maintaining order, receiving and welcoming all, managing traffic flow, distributing literature and provisions, and keeping the sanctuary presentable are only a small part of the dedication made to serve. An endeavor is also made to make persons with disabilities and special needs as comfortable as possible. The aspiration is to do all of this with a spirit of reverence, ensuring an undisturbed flow of ministry. In this way, we can be a blessing and be blessed, "for a day in thy courts is better than thousands. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness." (Psalms 84:10).

Nurses Guild

The Nurses Guild auxiliary of the House of God recognizes that our primary role is to assist and serve the Clergy and the people of God through our compassion and love for mankind and our clinical expertise. We strive to be of service to all while providing assistance to the ministerial staff as well as providing first aid, education, health awareness information and assisting with the medical needs of our parishioners during our local, state, district, and national meetings.

We have on our staff professionally licensed Nurse practitioners, Registered nurses, LPNs, CMAs and lay members.

Our goal is to have professional assistance available for our members at our National meetings and to show the Love of God through our love for humanity and our willingness to serve others.

YPU

The Young People's Union or YPU is an embracing international community of like-minded individuals, passionate about communicating the life-changing message of Jesus Christ through any forum available. While the message has not changed, the methods used to effectively reach the youth of today have to change to be flexible and engaging. We strive to introduce and utilize new and innovative ways of delivering the gospel of Jesus through various forms such as creative and performing arts, as well as through resources such as the Internet and social networking.

We believe that the application of biblical principles is key to living a life that manifests the promise and abundance spoken of in the bible, and are dedicated to sharing these principles. In these daunting, challenging, and callous times, our youth hope to display that God's word is timeless and can stand up in a world that is falling apart. God's promises and provision are not contingent upon the economic state or social barometers of our society, only our willingness to believe Him and obey His word. We seek to model this and to disciple others in a fulfilling life fashioned after Jesus.

We are in the midst of an exciting and epic three-year series on faith. Our theme for 2008 was "Faith in Action." For 2009, our theme is "Another Level of Faith." Culminating this series in 2010, the theme will be "Faith, The Climax!" Everything that God has for us is received by faith, and we are excited about sharing this, and the joy of a life in Christ.
